Douglas was hired by Adam Steck and Alex Schetcher of SPI Entertainment to be the Creative Director / Production Manager for the Jammin’ 4 Hope Charity show to benefit the Vegas entertainment community. Worked directly with Stacey Lockhart, the Executive Director of HopeLink of Southern Nevada for this one-time live concert event that was streamed live from Backstage Bar & Billiards and the Fremont Country Club in downtown Las Vegas.
As Creative Director and the pre-production manager / on-site manager for this live show that was streamed virtually, Douglas had many hurdles to over come as the pre-production all happened virtually and the show took place live in two side by side venues on Sunday, November 8, 2020. First had to secure and lock in all the acts that would be performing live. Then had to coordinate all the videos that acts submitted, along with videos from sponsors and HopeLink. Since this was a live show, Douglas had to create a show order that would balance live acts in two rooms, along with pre-recorded video packages, a live auction, along with four different hosts over the three and a half hour event. Douglas developed the script for the hosts to introduce the live performers, pre-taped acts, and the sponsors and donors who were interviewed about their involvement in the Vegas community. The surprise highlight of the event was Las Vegas legend Wayne Newton closed the show with his unique Vegas class and style. The day of the event, Douglas also organized and built the display for the auction items, made sure the show ran on time, and that the live show was streamed virtually for the world to see. Over 43,000 people streamed the event and donations came in from across the world!
