After a great holiday season of shows at the Tropicana, we had a surprise guest performer in January.
Jonathan Scott, one half of the TV duo the Property Brothers debuted a new magic trick in the show where I play Lefty in, MURRAY: Celebrity Magician inside the Laugh Factory at the Tropicana hotel and casino.
While on tour in Las Vegas, the famous photographer Sebastian KonoPix of imagicians, stopped by to shoot a picture of on my stage character, Lefty.
Taking the show on the road! On Friday, November 1, 2013, the dark day of the MURRAY: Celebrity Magician show at the Tropicana, Murray, Chloe and I drove to LA to film the new hit talk show, The Garage with Jeff Sutphen.
For the first two weeks of September, I was fortunate to go on tour with Murray’s show to Australia.

For one week only, Murray shut down his Las Vegas show and brought it to the world famous Magic Castle in Hollywood, CA.
After 10 years, the hit TLC series, What Not To Wear, is coming to an end. The final episode was shot in Vegas, where an ex-stripper, and her revealing wardrobe, were brought on for the last hurray. One of the signature things on the show is that the two hosts, Stacy and Clinton, literally “throw out” the guests clothes into a garbage can.

Along with Murray and Chloe, I participated in a “Challenge for Charity” on the Marie show. Filmed on location in Vegas at Buca di Beppo Italian Restaurant, we putted the restaurant’s world famous meatballs, frozen of course, to see how many meatballs in one we could get. For every meatball we sank into the hole, a ticket was given away to MURRAY: Celebrity Magician’s show inside the Laugh Factory at the Tropicana Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. There were lots of funny misses and a lot of mayhem on the putting green, but in the end, 10 tickets were given away to Marie’s Charity. The episode will air later this year.
On Monday, March 11th, 2013, magician Murray SawChuck performed the largest illusion with a live animal on morning television. At this point, the illusion of Murray producing a 950 pound grizzle bear on TV is a dangerous trick that no other magician has ever before attempted on live TV. Co-hosts Mark Steines and Cristina Ferrare were shocked and amazed but unharmed by their close encounter!
For a last minute cover shoot of What’s On magazine, Tommy Wind and his team brought me in as “artistic director” for this photo shoot. I thought it was key to have a shot that represented the two major elements of his show, magic and music. The final shot that was chosen was an exciting action shot of Tommy holding one of his electric guitars, while “springing” playing cards at the camera.
Murray hired me to be his on-site magic consultant / magic eye for his first appearance on the TV show Top Gear. What made this extremely difficult was that I had to been hidden in the back corner of the ambulance so that Murray could see me, but the camera in the corner across from…
Over the past several months, I have co-produced the Sapphire Comedy Hour, in the Sapphire showroom. The brain child of owner Brett Feinstein, the show now features both rising stars of comedy as well as headlining comedians from Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and across the country.
The self-proclaimed “Dennis the Menace of Magic,” Murray Sawchuck, brought his own variety of mischievous magic for a second time to Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family show. I joined Murray as his magic consultant for his TV shoot, which took place on the backlot of Universals Studios, CA.
